What on earth does "greenbeard" mean?
Here at GreenBeard Trailers, we like to consider ourselves part of a family. Not just with those folks we're related to, but with a larger family of bikers - roadies, mountain bikers, recumbent riders, and even trike riders - all those folks with an eye to foot pedals instead of gas pedals. That's why when we're driving down the road we give our family a wide berth. When someone's got a flat on the trail, we'll share our spare tube. And when a brother is in need, well, we'll be as downright brotherly helpful as we can.
That's what the GreenBeard effect is all about. It's a fancy science theory that explains why ants and bees and even beer yeast are helpful and nice to each other; even if they're not related.
We think that's kind of cool. And we want to contribute to all that helpful kindness that goes on among bikers. That's why we've started GreenBeard Trailers. Because we think that there'd be even more people out on their bicycles if they had enough room to cart groceries or construction supplies or library books or whatever you need to carry that can't fit in that spiffy basket you have on your handlebars.
